Toyin Adewale joins Nicki Minaj's pose challenge
Nollywood actress Toyin Adewale has stirred up attention online by participating in Nicki Minaj's pose challenge. Recently, American rapper Nicki Minaj has gone viral on TikTok for a pose she struck 12 years ago in her 2013 music video with Lil Wayne. In the clip, Nicki can be seen squatting with her legs crossed, and this iconic pose has resurfaced, inspiring many to recreate it.

Joining the challenge, Toyin shared a video on her Instagram page of herself sitting in a chair with her legs crossed. In her caption, she mentioned that someone questioned what she was doing.

“Somebody said What’s going on here?

Dancer Jane Mena joined the trending challenge and made headlines by taking it to another level. She shared a video of herself squatting on a chair in heels while breastfeeding her toddler.

Similarly, crossdresser James Brown participated in the trend by sharing a video of himself squatting on a pile of blocks in heels, balancing on one leg while holding the other leg.

A year ago, James also channeled his inner Beyoncé for his birthday shoot. He shared a video of himself dressed in a metallic outfit inspired by the Queen of Music, Beyoncé, with her song playing in the background.

Skitmaker Kiekie turned heads earlier this year as she dressed up as Beyoncé and asked her fans to rate her look.

In celebration of Women’s Day in 2023, Big Brother Naija ‘Lockdown’ housemate Nengi Hampson embodied Nicki Minaj. The BBN finalist shared photos of herself in a red dress that was a replica of one worn by Nicki. The dress accentuated Nengi’s curves, and she certainly "ate the look and left no crumbs."
