Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe is embodying the saying "Once bitten, twice shy" as she takes extra precautions with her new phones. After losing two of her phones at an event last month, she was spotted at her colleague Eniola Ajao’s movie premiere for "Owambe Thieves," where she was seen carefully protecting her devices. In a clip from the event, Mercy cleverly hid her two phones in her bra.

At Iyabo Ojo’s movie premiere last month, Mercy experienced a slight setback when she lost her two phones, which were in the care of her assistant. During the event, Iyabo appealed to anyone who took the phones to return them and even offered a financial reward for their return.
To compensate for her loss, Mercy won the title of Best Dressed Female at the premiere, earning a prize of half a million naira. It was not surprising that Mercy won this award, as she truly dazzled in her outfit and is considered one of the fashion icons in Nollywood.
Similarly, Angela Okorie expressed her frustration after losing her Samsung phone at an event. She questioned why someone would steal phones in 2024 and shared that she had cursed the thief. Describing the act as wickedness, she noted that she could have offered the person a million naira instead.
Additionally, talent manager Soso Soberekon made a generous offer after losing his phone at Israel DMW’s wedding. The former manager of Harrysong promised to reward anyone who could help him retrieve his phone with half a million naira or more.
