In celebration of Easter, Sunmbo Adeoye, the wife of clergyman David Adeoye and the mother of two of legendary singer 2Face’s children, shared motivational words with her thousands of followers.
In an Instagram post, she emphasized that God’s timing is the best and most perfect, using her own life as an example. Sunmbo mentioned that she is not a product of her performance, but of God’s grace.
She encouraged the public by reminding them that whatever challenges they may face, Jesus endured far worse and rose after three days. She pointed out that Jesus’ story didn’t end in shame, and neither will theirs.
“God’s timing is still the best and most perfect. I have been there, and I know that His timing is perfect. I am not a product of performance; it’s by His grace. Whatever you may be going through now, know that Jesus also faced humiliation, shame, and crucifixion, and in three days, He was resurrected! The story didn’t end in shame or defeat; your story will not end in shame or defeat.”

In July 2023, while celebrating their 10th wedding anniversary, Sunmbo expressed her gratitude to her husband for embracing her and her two sons with open arms. In a subsequent post, she praised him further, sharing her deep feelings and appreciation for him. As the wife of a pastor, she sees her husband as her divine compensation and the greatest gift from God.
Last year, Sunmbo prayed for single parents, encouraging them to not worry about who might become a parent or mentor to their children. She emphasized that God would send the right person in due time. Using her own experience as an example, she prayed that just as God provided her sons with a wonderful mentor, He would answer the prayers of single mothers for their children.
In another post, she conveyed a message to single parents, stating that single motherhood is not a life-threatening condition nor a stigma. She advised that if someone approaching them for marriage judges them by such a label, then that person is not worthy of marrying them.
Additionally, last year, the mother of four reflected on her personal growth. She acknowledged feeling lost in the past but remained hopeful. Now, she is grateful for who she has become through the special grace of God and expressed amazement at her transformation.
